Representing Henderson, Nevada, Carlson outlasted a field of 401 competitors to win his first career WSOP Circuit ring in the Event #1 $400 buy-in event. Winning the first tournament of the Horseshoe WSOP Circuit series was local poker player Todd Carlson.
